Just finished reviewing a Sylvia Hyman show for Nashville Scene. Hyman is a fine art ceramicist who specializes in trompe l’oeil sculpture. Hyman creates stoneware baskets that seem to be made of wood. She fashions letter envelopes out of porcelain complete with postmarked Andy Warhol stamps.
